The Coventry Grid Project 2021
This project, Emerging from Lockdown, ran in association with Warwick University and Coventry UK City of Culture from Saturday 31st July to Sunday 15th August 2021. It formed part of the Resonate festival.
The outcomes – photographs and a short film – were exhibited at the Warwick Arts Centre in November 2021 as part of the Feelings of Freedom festival.
The city centre area covered by this project is small. It is located less than one km from Coventry Railway Station and spans the area from the Transport Museum in the north, the cathedral and Herbert Gallery to the east, The Wave to the south and the retail market to the west.
The film
A research project, managed by Professor Jackie Hodgson at The University of Warwick, formed the basis for the film, researched by Liv Mercusa and Georgie Evans. The narrative was written by Georgie Evans.
